The Glen Eden Playhouse Theatre is bringing the beautiful, historic, 80 year old Wurlitzer Organ, ex Avondale Hollywood Theatre, to our own Iconic, Historic West Auckland Theatre. BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP! WITH THIS COMMUNITY PROJECT!
We require $300,000 to build the external organ chamber on the back of the Playhouse Theatre in Glen Eden, this will house all of the organ pipes, regulators and the blower room and ancillary equipment to make the organ work. Building is required to be finished by November 2018 to allow the Wurlitzer Trust enough time to have the organ, (which is currently in storage), installed, rebuilt and tuned in time for a concert in March 2019. If you would like to donate to this wonderful cause, keeping this magnificent organ in the West either by money, building materials, construction assistance or purchase naming rights.
